When NetPath 2000 device combined with Cingular’s wireless data service, that provides businesses with an enterprise class solution for WAN backup, and remote or temporary connectivity applications.

    Key features:

  • Solution for backup links, portable connections and supporting remote data links
  • Plug-and-play PCMCIA WAN slot for 3G (UMTS), EDGE and GPRS wireless cards
  • Create secure networks with the internal VPN client
  • Full routing and NAT bypass
  • User-friendly webserver interface GUI
  • Supports VPN pass-through for existing secure networks
  • NetPath 2000 to operate on Cingular’s wireless data networks, supporting multiple network and customer configurations. Cingular Wireless operates the largest high-speed national wireless data network in the United States, with availability in 13,000 cities and towns.

It also now provides wireless broadband UMTS/HSDPA services in 16 markets, and expects to offer the service in most major markets by the end of 2006. Cingular’s certification process included a series of live customer trials and evaluations that allowed Verilink to develop the feature set to meet the needs of real customers, not just lab requirements.
